Gaviscon Infant Sachets powder for oral suspension for regurgitation and gastric reflux. Gaviscon Infant is sugar-free.
Helps to prevent gastric regurgitation in infants. Symptoms of reflux in babies include:
– Bringing up milk or being sick during or shortly after feeding.
– Coughing or hiccuping when feeding.
– Swallowing or gulping after burping or feeding.
– Being unsettled during feeding.
For infants aged 1 to 2 years. Not to be used in premature infants or infants under one year except under medical supervision.
Bottle feed: Mix each sachet into 115ml of bottle feed. Shake well and feed the infant as normal.
Breast-feeding: Mix each sachet with a teaspoon of boiled yet cooled water. A smooth paste will form. Add 2 teaspoons of boiled, coiled water and mix. Partway through the feed, use a spoon or feeding bottle to administer.
One sachet is recommended for infants below 4.5 kilograms. Two sachets are recommended for infants above 4.5 kilograms. Do not administer more than 6 sachets over a period of 24 hours. If your baby is below the age of 1, consult with your doctor about the use of Gaviscon Infant.
